Heat Pumps of Maine prides itself on providing best-in-class service, solutions, and installations and on taking the time to educate customers on maximizing their rebates and making the most informed decisions for themselves.

Opening for business in 2020 by childhood friends Cam Bussiere and David Cusson, Heat Pumps of Maine now employs seven full-time staff members, all working daily to support the people of their community.

“Our mission is to ensure everyone finds the right solution in heating and cooling, whether it’s heat pump, furnace, or another source—even if it’s not something we have,” explains Bussiere, co-founder. “We have no problem passing customers along to our trusted colleagues—if we can do business with them, that’s just a bonus.”

Another strong value guiding Heat Pumps of Maine is employee satisfaction. Coming from an industry where people were unhappy in the monotony of the 9-5 grind, Bussiere instills a sense of ownership and pride in the team for the company they are building together.

“It’s important to live a positive and healthy life while earning a good living,” says Bussiere.

Part of that mantra of positivity is giving back to the community, both through service expertise and youth sports – something near and dear to the hearts of all Heat Pumps of Maine employees, who just happened to meet while playing on the same tee-ball team at five years old. In addition to the more than $25,000 donated to LA residents in cooling and heat in 2023, Heat Pumps of Maine proudly sponsors youth football, hockey, basketball, track and field.

“We’ve seen a decline lately in the quality of youth sports and  want to ensure kids have the same opportunities we did to build lifelong friendships and all prosper together decades down the line.”
